Everyone loves a hot bowl of
CREAMY ORZO

This pasta dish is quick, creamy and tasty. A hot bowl of creamy orzo is a simple delight, not only for adults, but babies love it, too. Served in a warm bowl, it's a tempting sight. Its smooth texture is derived from the bel-paese cheese; heavy cream and bits of ham form a luscious sauce.

Ingredients
1 lb. of dry orzo pasta

1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. ham (diced very tiny)
1/4 cup of half and half or heavy cream
3 packages bel-paese cheese
1 tbl. of freshly grated pecorino or parmigiano cheese

Bring water to boil and cook orzo, adding salt for 9 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside. Reserve 1 cup of pasta liquid.

Place cooked pasta in large bowl, add bel-paese cheese and toss making sure it melts, add your heavy cream, diced piece of tiny ham, 2 tbl. of grated cheese (pecorino or parmigiano) and toss well. (If pasta looks dry, add 1 cup of pasta liquid.)

Serve immediately while hot.

This pasta dish is quick, creamy and delicious. Everyone loves a hot bowl of creamy orzo.
